Hi readers, it’s Emily and William here this week telling you all about the exciting and fun party we had on the Friday bank holiday at my, Emily’s shared house.
The party was to celebrate the Queen’s 70th Jubilee, so we decorated the house with red and blue bunting, and pictures of the Queen. In the garden there was also Union Jack bunting and blue bunting. It looked fab.
We invited close friends and some of our neighbours who are also supported by our care provider. The weather was meant to be really sunny but it did rain a little bit. That didn’t put us off though and we stayed outside. We even had swingball in the garden too!
We’d prepared loads of food including Adam’s tasty cheesecake, Nick’s yummy cheese scones, a lovely trifle my friend made. Of course we also had scones with cream, jam and strawberries – very posh! Party music from the 80’s and 90’s was kindly provided by Alexa!
It was such a nice party. Everyone was talking to everyone, having a good time. I, William really enjoyed seeing and chatting to friends. Our friend Kerry came along and it was really nice to see her but our house wasn’t great for her in her wheelchair, so we think next time we should go round to hers. Kerry, be warned!
The only thing we forgot was to wear the facemask of the Queen we had bought. So we don’t waste it we will use it for my, Emily’s birthday in August where we will have a high tea to celebrate.
We hope you all had a good jubilee weekend and enjoyed whatever you were doing, even if some of you got a bit wet at times with the rain. Long live the Queen!
