The Forum ask people with learning disabilities in Dorset about out what is working and not working, and what people need. We listen to our Speaking Up Groups and Members.
We share what our community members say at regular meetings with the local government council. We also meet with NHS, Police and other organisations. This means that they can make things better for people with learning disabilities.
We are delighted that People First Dorset is now a Third Party Reporting Centre. This is a place you can go to tell someone about a hate crime that is not a police station. If our members or anyone else thinks they are victims of Hate Crime then we can support them to report it.
Elly Layfield is the Forum and Quality Checkers Project Manager for the Dorset County Council User Led Contract. You can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01305 257600 for more information.
On the left is Kerry who works for the Forum. She has lots of experience with helping to make the lives of people with learning disabilities better.
