The Government has some new rules about the information we keep about our members and supporters.
In March members visited the Cardiology Department at Dorchester Hospital. We all had a great time and learnt lots of interesting facts on how to look after your heart.
Members said after this visit they would now feel more confident if they have to come to the Cardiology department for an appointment.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Pieter and his team for putting on a great event for us!
Friendship Club are looking forward to the next hospital visit where we will be visiting the Out Patients Department on Tuesday 19th June at 6 – 8pm.
‘One of our best Big Night Outs on 12 April, at Cameo Nightclub in Bournemouth. Over 450 people with learning disabilities and carers had a fabulous night out. Thanks to Suttles for their sponsorship and all the volunteers who support this event to happen’

People First Dorset received an award in January at the Quality Matters Awards 2017 for Men United – A project to provide opportunities for men with learning disabilities to meet up.

People First Dorset is now a Third Party Reporting Centre. It is a place you can go to tell someone about a hate crime that is not a police station.
We held our Annual General Meeting on Friday 1st December 2017. It went very well. All our Trustees were voted in again for another year. Chris and Kerry did a presentation about what we have been doing during the year. This is a photo of the Staff and Trustees at the AGM.
